Register for OpenAthens
An NHS OpenAthens is required to access our online resources.
All staff and students at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust and Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust should sign up for an OpenAthens account.
Having an up-to-date NHS OpenAthens account means you are able to access online resources wherever, whenever you need them, from any connected device at work, in practice, on call, while studying and at home, 24/7.
Click the blue button opposite to go to the online registration form for NHS OpenAthens.
If you register with either an NHS email address or on an NHS computer you should get a link to create a password immediately.
If you register on a home computer we will need to approve your account.
Password length must be between 10 and 100 characters and pass a strength assessment. Passwords are case sensitive, and just about any character from any language is fine – if it’s on the keyboard you’re using it should be ok. To find out more, press the opposite button.
