Oral Maxillofacial
Oral and Maxillofacial is the medical discipline relating to diseases affecting the mouth, jaw, face and neck. Unlike many other disciplines OMFS requires surgeons to hold a dual qualification in medicine and dentistry. Due to the nature of such conditions, OMFS teams work closely with others such as ENT surgeons, clinical oncologists, plastic surgeons, orthodontists, restorative dentists, radiologists and neurosurgeons.
