Resource of the Month: ClinicalKey

ClinicalKey is a ‘point of care’ search engine for when information is needed quickly.

When searching, you will normally see a clinical overview as the first result. Within that record, you can navigate to particular sections such as diagnosis. There are also links to tools such as clinical calculators and decisions trees to help you make evidence-based decisions at the point of care. For more complex cases, terms can be combined to access articles and other supporting documents.

To make the most of ClinicalKey, log in with your OpenAthens account. This will allow to access features such as saving and tagging content, and adding images to PowerPoint for presentations.

From the Library website, you can conduct a quick search in ClinicalKey. Select ‘ClinicalKey’ from the four options on the blue search bar, and the term to be used entered into the search box. Then click ‘GO’.
